What is it about a wedding that gives shopping an added thrill? Be it saris, gifts, a trousseau or jewelry, shopping for your wedding adds to a lot more excitement and effort. In India, a lot of women get their first pair of diamond earrings for their wedding. Over time, this tradition has expanded across the country, and a diamond set is now often a wedding gift by parents or in-laws. A diamond set could include earrings, necklace, matching diamond bangles or a diamond bracelet, and even a diamond ring. When shopping for your diamond wedding collection, it is important to keep in mind the following things.
Budget:
If you don't have any limits in budget, congratulations. We envy you. For those who do, it's best to have an idea of your upper limit, so that while shopping you don't get too carried away. Knowing the budget will also help you determine how many pieces you can buy, and what quality of diamond you can look for.
How many pieces?
Taking a decision on how many pieces of diamond jewellery you would like to buy can help narrow your search. If you do own a few pieces, perhaps you'd like to add a few that you don't already have. Or if you are just starting your collection, then look at a necklace and earrings first, before expanding to other pieces.
Diamond Value and Quality:
The price and value of diamond jewelry largely depends on the quality, cut, and size of the diamonds used. Your budget and the number of pieces you want, together, will let you decide on the quality of diamond jewelry you can afford. However, keep in mind that it's better to get one piece of a very good diamond quality than many pieces of average diamond worth.
Diamond Jewelry Styles:
Spend some time thinking about whether you are going to wear traditional diamond jewelry for your wedding or if you'd prefer something contemporary. The style you decide to go with will help you determine where to shop, and give you an approximate cost of purchase. Also keep in mind when choosing a jewelry style that you may be adding pieces after your wedding as well over a period of time.
Collections or Assorted?
These days several jewelers offer wedding diamond jewellery collections from which you can choose the pieces you want. Some people however prefer buying unique pieces and matching them together. Try and look at the range on offer in a few stores before you decide on anything.
Get an Expert Opinion:
Purchasing diamond jewellery for a wedding is a big decision, so try and take someone along who knows jewelry or more importantly, diamonds. A person with an experienced eye will be able to verify whether you are getting the right quality for the price you are paying. He or she will also be able to guide you in choosing pieces that will have a good resale value.
Recap:
Purchasing Diamond jewellery online is really a risky business. Make sure you check the quality of the diamond jewelry you wish to purchase. Mainly the cutting of the diamond and the reflections can determine the quality factor. Click here for 100% quality Diamond jewellery designs online.

It is essential to determine whether you need a device to secure your precious car or not. Though it might cost you more than you bargained for, it is better prevention than cure. There are various types of car systems available to you. They are very important because cars are vital assets to their owners and the rate of car theft has increased.
There are three main types of these car systems that you can consider, and the first is the secure audible system. This type basically alerts the public of any illegal or unauthorized activity that is going on. The disadvantage is that they are very noisy and annoying. The car can be adjusted to a certain level of sensitivity to avoid it going off at the slightest touch. These pre-installed car systems have a panic button on the key.
The second type of car security stems is the inaudible system or the private alert systems. They have the advantage of not having the noisy alarm. They only alarm the owner wherever he or she might be. This includes the following types; the first one that is known to many is the secure intelligent GPS system. This systems work by sending SMS constantly to the owner of the car and it gives its location. This is applicable even when the owner forgets to switch the intelligent GPS system on. This is a very strong advantage because most people forget to set these gadgets on. This helps the owner to track down the car wherever it is after it has been stolen or has gone missing.
The second type of inaudible car system for you to consider is the Autocop or the Blackcats. These are the personal door openers for the car locks. The security provided by these gadgets is very minimal. Very many cars still get stolen besides having this type of car security. The problem with the inaudible systems is that the owner may be too far to do anything about it or might be in danger.
The third type of car security systems is an ignition system immobilizer. It is the newest form of security. An example is a Key based security or engine immobilizer. This type of car security system is a bit complex. It involves an in-built transponder in the car keys. It has a unique code which should match with the Identification code in the Ecu. This prevents someone from driving away with your car. This security system makes it impossible for a car to start without its own key or through direct wire connections. The direct wire connection is what is mostly used because thieves usually do not have access to the keys. The engine immobilizer is installed before purchase of the car because such installing companies are third party companies.
Another form of the ignition system immobilizer is the steering wheel lock. This prevents an intruder driving off with a car. Since the ignition system immobilizer is the most current technology. It is the most appropriate. It has fewer nuisances and it has more chances of protecting the car. At the same time a combination of two or three types of security systems is most appropriate.

What's the preferred method to produce your own electricity?
Most homeowners turn to wind turbines and solar panels as a free energy generator, but the above-mentioned have many disadvantages. They are confounding to install, pricey to shop for and unworkable in adverse weather. Is there a better way to produce free power?
When compared to common methods, a magnetic motor has several benefits as a free electricity generator.
In contrast to solar panels and wind turbines, you can build a magnetic power generator at home with token mechanical knowledge and very little cash. Everybody with free energy generator plans is able to build one.
Additionally, a magnetic power generator expends less area in the home when compared to wind turbines and solar panels. As an extra benefit, a magnetic motor makes hardly any or zero noise and has no emissions.
A magnetic motor depends on magnetic fields powering a turbine, and that means the weather never influences its operation. Magnetic polarity therein causes constant movement, and they never need external forces to drive such a free power generator.
So how does a magnetic motor function as a free energy generator?
Magnetic motors, intended to generate free power without any external energy or a fuel source, are still met with disbelief about how they function and why they do. Historians acknowledge Howard Johnson as the creator of the first functioning magnetic power generator. He collected U.S. patent No. 4,151,431 for his invention.
Free magnetic power generators harness the power of permanent magnets to produce free electricity. The polarity inherent in permanent magnets produces an adequate supply of force to spin the blades of a turbine. The spinning turbine produces the free power. A magnetic energy generator is a true perpetual motion gadget.
The builder, Howard Johnson, speculated that the energy from a free energy generator arises from revolving electrons in an unnamed molecular particle. This creates a "free" source of energy in the same way that atomic weapons and nuclear reactors do. It harnesses the energy of the atom.
An investigation showed that free magnetic motors are capable energy sources. Howard Johnson, the designer, wrapped specialized magnets in foil, put them in an arc, and aligned them to make free power. He put a synthetic sheet on the magnetic arrangement to carry a replica railway car and path. When arranged at one end, the car traveled quickly from one end of the track to the next. Even up a gradual incline, the train still had enough free electricity to move along the track.
This test, along with three U.S. patents earned by the creator, incontrovertibly demonstrated the usefulness of magnetic energy generators in the pursuit of free power for domestic purposes.
For the solitary homeowner, a magnetic motor might be the preferred choice as a free energy generator. You can cut down your electric bill, become more self-sufficient and benefit the environment all by making your own power at home. You just need free energy generator plans, a couple of parts from the tool store and a bit of time to become energy self-reliant!
Functioning as an asset, a free energy generator is one of the lowest-risks with the greatest reward. Set it up it on one occasion, and you will save money on your electric bill indefinitely.

Todays sophisticated European engines produce higher horsepower densities per cubic inch and subject the engines motor oil to severe operational conditions. Throw in all the emissions control equipment on these cars and the oils used must demonstrate exceptional anti-wear performance and meet the strict formulation requirements needed to meet the most current European motor oil specifications.
Those specifications at this writing are VW 504/00/507.00, VW, 502, 505 and 505.01, BMW LL-04, Porsche C-30, ACEA C-3, ACEA A3-B3/B4, Mercedes Benz 229.31 and 229.51 etc. Since most European car makers specify oil change intervals that are considerable longer than those of U.S car makers, oils meeting these specifications need to demonstrate excellent high temperature/high shear performance (HT/HS) to maintain viscosity and provide adequate engine protection.
In addition, turbocharged direct injection (TDI) engines are common in European vehicles. Motor oils used in these applications must be very thermally stable to handle the high operating temperatures and resist deposit formation while providing adequate turbocharger cooling. Thermally stable oils help keep oil passages clean and promote fluid circulation so turbocharger bearings stay cool and lubricated
Because of the sophisticated and extremely efficient pollution control equipment used on European vehicles, almost all European car makers require oil used in these applications to be formulated with lower amounts of sulphated ash, phosphorous and sulfur. (SAPS) SAPS is a commonly used anti-wear additive in motor oils.
The problem is that oils with excessive sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulfur (SAPS) can harm modern exhaust treatment devices. Diesel particulate filters (DPF's), for example, require low-SAPS motor oil to help prevent filter plugging. This is why using motor oil that does not meet the correct specification can cause engine problems and that annoying check engine light to come on!
Because SAPS additives provide a high degree of wear protection, its reduction has caused some motor oil formulators considerable difficulty in producing a engine oil that both provides outstanding protection and meets the car makers requirements for use with their engine advanced pollution control equipment. The most ideal motor oil for European engine is high grade synthetic oils engineered for the above specifications. Synthetic oils have very low pour points protecting the engine from oil starvation and providing immediate oil pressure when the outside temperature is low while its thermal stability withstands high-temperature/high-RPM breakdown to resist deposit formations that starve TDI systems of lubrication.
This is why some of the biggest names in European cars such as Mercedes and Porsche are factory filled with synthetic oil and many require the use of synthetic oil to maintain the cars warrantee.
Amsoil Inc. introduced the first American Petroleum institute rated motor oil in 1972. Today Amsoil is considered the world leader in high grade synthetic lubrication and offers synthetic motor oils specifically engineered for the most demanding European car applications.

Many people want to know if marble or granite is better for countertops in their kitchens and bathrooms. After all, both are beautiful materials, both lend beauty and elegance to any home, and both are available in many varieties to suit any preference.
On the other hand, there are a few differences between these two stones that you should seriously consider before choosing between them. Rather than making this decision for you, why don't we let the facts speak for themselves.
The Pros and Cons of Marble
First of all, Marble is a metamorphic rock. Its basic ingredient can be found everywhere from limestone to baking soda, from
calcium carbonate to lime (white wash). The basic ingredient goes by many other names depending on its application and its form. Limestone, a sedimentary form of calcium, which is found naturally in the earth, undergoes intense heat and pressure within the earth to be formed into what we know as marble.
This rock can also be exposed to heat and grinding to become a filler ingredient for medications, writing paper, plaster of
Paris, lime (white wash), and cement hardener. This means that marble, although beautiful and durable, is porous and very easily destroyed by any type of acid, heat, or water. Even with a seal coating applied religiously every year, no types of chemicals may be used to wash the countertops made from it. It cannot take much abuse from water, acids such as lemon or orange juice, or high heat from pans. These will all destroy the seal coating and the marble beneath.
Since marble is so porous, it is also easily stained. One single scratch can allow liquids or even oxidation from the air to
leak under the seal coating and stain the marble. This doesn't mean that it should not be used. Marble is ideal for use in low traffic areas or for sculpting amazing art out of. But for the high traffic use of a kitchen countertop, a floor, or a bathroom countertop, marble just means high maintenance.
The Pros and Cons of Granite
Granite is also a metamorphic rock. It is a composite of quartz, silicon, feldspar, mica, and several other minerals. It too
is formed under high pressure and heat. It is also just as beautiful. It is not as porous as marble and is resistant to chemicals and acids. The presence of quartz in granite provides the granite with a durability and hardness unlike that of soft marble.
Granite is more stain resistant and wear resistant than marble. While it is not perfect, granite holds up far better in high traffic uses such as counter tops and flooring. With a proper seal coating on granite and with proper care, granite will last for many years without scratching, staining, chipping, or wearing away. If properly cared for, granite may not need to be resealed every year.
Granite can also be quarried locally. This means that, unlike marble, granite will not have to be shipped from South America or Europe. Granite can be quarried in Arizona, New Mexico, and some northern states. Granite is also easier to ship. Even if the granite you select comes from South Africa, China, Asia, or Europe, there is more granite available. This means it's easier to obtain and less expensive to use.
Ultimately It's Up To You
Whether you choose granite or marble is up to you. When asked which one is better for the high traffic use of countertops, the answer should be clear, granite will simply hold up better. When properly cared for under normal conditions, granite is easier to care for and is resistant to staining, chemicals, heat, and fracturing. Granite is available in more colors and patterns and can be custom ordered for less than marble.

When casting concrete into ABS or rubber molds, should you use Portland cement and sand? Premixed bags of concrete? Premixed Bags of Sand Mix? Moulding Plaster? There are two primary rules, and a couple of secondary considerations that will determine what to use. First and foremost, follow the instructions on the product you are using. And be sure to wear protective clothing and equipment as specified by the cement manufacturer.
Mold Thickness and Size Matters - You can use bags of premix "Concrete" or bags of premix "Sand Mix" depending on what thickness you are casting. The main differences are the size of the aggregate in each type. Concrete has larger aggregate or gravel in with the sand and Portland cement, and is designed for castings of two-inches and thicker. These premixed bags of concrete should meet or exceed ASTM C-387 and will yield a compressive strength of 4,000 psi at 28 days, if mixed per instructions. Sand Mix is Portland cement and sand, as the name implies, and is designed for use at half-inch thick and up to two-inch deep mold thickness. Sand Mix used as directed and in accordance with ASTM C-387 yields a compressive strength of 5,000 psi after 28 days.
Where to Use Bags of Sand Mix - Cement tiles and thin brick veneer, which are usually about half-inch thick or thinner are best made with a Sand Mix. Stone veneer under two-inches thick, and most wall plaques would be cast with Sand Mix as well. If the items being made are for an interior application on a vertical surface, such as a brick or tile wall, you may use a plaster instead of Sand Mix. Using plaster would produce a lighter weight tile, brick or stone as well as allowing the use of ready-made wall tile mastic to install them. This comes in buckets, and is readily available in most home supply stores.
It should be noted that a half-inch thick cement tile, paver or brick can handle the weight of vehicular traffic, as in a driveway, if they are installed over a solid concrete base. The same holds true for covering a concrete patio. Stones of a half-inch thick, properly installed with thin-set and or mortar, and made with Sand Mix have a compressive strength of over 5,000 psi. The savings in raw material costs between pouring concrete into a half-inch thick mold, versus a two to three inch thick mold is substantial. So if you are covering a concrete sidewalk, patio or driveway, you may want to consider using a thinner mold.
Where to Use Bags of Concrete Mix - Driveway pavers, stepping stones, thick cast manufactured stone, garden and landscape edging, and anything that is going to end up being thicker than two-inches would require using pre-mixed Concrete-- the stuff with the gravel. The gravel makes it stronger and able to withstand the extra weight these concrete products are expected to handle when installed in a packed sand and gravel installation. A properly prepared base will give you years of service with very little maintenance.
Alternative to Using Bags of Premixed Concrete - For large projects, to save money, and to have more control over your mix design, I recommend using Portland cement, which comes in 94 lb. bags. You will also need bulk sand and/or gravel, additive, concrete color, etc., to make your stones. Or in the case of needing to make batches of light or medium weight stone for walls, you would want to start with Portland cement and a lightweight aggregate like lava rock, Vermiculite, Perlite, expanded shale, or other lightweight aggregate.
When making stone or tile for large projects, or commercially for resale, the savings in raw materials cost will make a big difference in your total cost of the project versus using bags of pre-mixed concrete or Sand Mix. Be aware that there are some negatives though. When designing and mixing your own batches you need to consider that you'll have to purchase bulk sand, and have a place to store it. The same holds true for gravel if the items you are making are thicker than two inches.
